Al fresco: Music, wine and gastronomy

Summer always comes with a good dose of music. Music festivals are in full swing, and concerts in wineries and unique venues fill the calendar with interesting dates during the summer.

On the first weekend in July, jazz lovers meet at the Vijazz Penedès to enjoy international stars on the stage in Plaça Jaume I, combining the chance to taste and discover DO Penedès wines. Consider planning you stay in advance, so you ccan have time to explore Penedès and take a wine tour in the morning and enjoy jazz and wine in the afternoon.

During the weekends of July, Subirats hosts the small Festival de Música a les Vinyes, in a little-known setting, such as the town of Torre-Ramona. At the end of the concerts, a glass of cava and a tasting of local Ordal peach is offered.

Summer nights in wineries are not only about concerts and music, but also gastronomic nights and wine events. They are the perfect excuse to go out with your group of friends or to have a summer night date! Special pairings, gastronomic nights with renowned chefs and events to observe and admire the falling stars around Sant Llorenç.

It is just as wonderful to listen to some amazing music with vineyard backdrops and starlit skies overhead.

Sunset in the wine bar

During spring and fall, there is nothing locals like more than spending time with friends and family having a drink in the many wine bars in the area. But in summer, afternoons are very warm, so wine bars open later in the evening. That gives us glorious picture: watching the sunsets with a glass in hand.
